This country will never be able to decide the answer to abortion because the country (meaning its citizens) can't agree on what "life" means nor can they agree on whether or not morality or a sense of morality should enter into the laws of the land. The issue is one that cannot be decided by mankind (I know that word will drive the woke crowd crazy). But let's see if a majority of people can agree on a few things.
1. If its actually true that a fetus represents a life when there is a heartbeat, or at conception, or at first breath, whenever it is defined, could we all agree that at that point ending that life is murder? I mean, we've seen some bills proposed that would allow infanticide or death after birth. Crazy.
2. Can we also agree that the procedure is horrific and for any woman to have to go through that is enough to understand and feel the empathy for these women. They are difficult difficult decisions to have to make? Yes, this is a huge deal, but many say she and the man she was with should have thought about that before they copulated. Easier said than done and most people know that.
3. Can we also agree that abortion used as birth control is probably not the answer? Meaning, there is probably some middle ground where both sides can agree, say in cases of rape or incest, or for sure where the life of the mother is in danger? But for shear birth control methods, maybe mandatory sex-ed courses or year long birth control pre-conceived methods are taught to both the mother and father?
The answer to the question on can we agree, seems to C2 to be a resounding NO. People will not agree on those things, nor on this topic no matter the science, no matter the religion, no matter the law. Abortion is one of the most devisive topics to throw into the public arena. So much so, it will stir up any base, extremely fast. Don't believe me? Just watch the news and see how many radical cockroaches have come out from their basements to literally harass the justices.
That brings us to the recent ruling from the Supreme Court. Oh wait, it wasn't a ruling, it was a leak of a brief circulating from February proceedings. Interesting...a leak, six months out from the mid-terms. With just about everything in the tank and the mid-terms looking like a blood bath for the Dems, it would make one wonder what they could possibly do to even the polls. You have to understand something. These people (Dem leadership) have lost their minds. They are drunk on power and the only moral compass they have is the one that points to maintaining power.
And let's be clear, this briefing and the eventual ruling hasn't even been decided yet. That's right, not even decided yet and we have freaks in the street. Also, lets be clear. The court briefing does not outlaw abortion but rather give the decisions back to the states and legislatures. It is forcing the federal law makers to do their job, debate and create a law if they so want one. It is stating that this topic is not for the Supreme court to decide. So don't let anyone tell you that abortion has been outlawed by the Supreme court. Truth is, there was never a federal law to outlaw. That's the point. And finally, again, there is no ruling yet. This could have easily waited until the end of term in July to be published and easily could come out leaving Roe in place. Yes, that is still a possibility. But, someone, some criminal twit leaked for well......reasons.
The Dems are not only using this illegal leak to stir up the base for the mid-terms, they are also using it to push legislation like packing the Supreme Court to 13 Justices, eliminating the filibuster to pass legislation with a simple majority. The funny thing about these extremist, radical democrats is, as with the Harry Reid move, they just don't seem to understand that the Republicans will take power again in the future. And when they do, the rule changes wacko progressives have pushed, will all be used by Republicans as well. Go ahead and look up what Harry Reid did and you will see the sheer stupidity.
Its the point of view here at C2 that this leak was planned, timed and orchestrated for these purposes. Dems going all out, the whole enchilada. They are desperate. Hell, they are always desperate. Its time for Republicans to fight by bringing all of these ideas to the floor for debate. The place where progressives and their radical views can never stand, can never survive and will be seen clearly for their radicalism. Republicans need to bring the sunlight to all of the radical hate and idiocy of ideas from this group of infants. We think that's just what Republicans are going to do. Once again, as usual, the never-forward-thinking progressives are setting themselves up for another overdue slap in the face.
